In today’s fast-paced and competitive academic landscape, mastering effective study techniques is as important as understanding the curriculum itself. Recognizing this need, a comprehensive session on Study Skills was conducted on July 22, 2025, for students of Class XI of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School under the aegis of ADEPT – A Programme for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by wellnesswise.in and mentored by-  

Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), Blue Bells Group of Schools. 

The primary objective of the session was to equip students with practical strategies for learning, retaining, and applying knowledge more efficiently. It aimed to empower them with tools to manage time effectively, enhance concentration, and develop habits that support long-term academic success. These strategies are especially valuable in helping students stay organized and well prepared to handle the increasing academic workload over the year. 

The students were introduced to the PQRST method (Preview, Question, Read, Self-study, and Test)—a structured technique that emphasizes the importance of systematic study for better retention of information. The session also covered essential skills such as organizing online study material, effective note-taking techniques, and the various methods of creating detailed, meaningful notes. In addition, students learned about Reading Skills and Writing Skills, which included guidance on mark distribution and time management during examinations. 

The importance of studying in a distraction-free environment and maintaining a healthy lifestyle was also emphasized. The learners actively participated by sharing their concerns, which were thoughtfully addressed by the facilitators. Overall, the session proved to be highly effective in achieving its objective. It empowered students to adopt a broad range of study strategies, paving the way for them to reach new heights of academic excellence in their educational journey.
